For the home cook, I take conventional recipes and reduce the ingredients as much as possible without sacrificing the intent. For instance, without naming brands, there are very nice bottled chipotle pepper sauces that keep just about forever in the fridge. You add the creamy yogurt and mayo, and off you go. Why start with dried peppers? The site, after all, is called Formula Easy Recipes. You can probably find more complicated recipes, but for home cooking, these will do well. I never add “salt and pepper” because you should always use these to suit yourself. This is, after all, a test kitchen.
