Quick and Easy Dinners
One Effort and Dinners Ready for Days!

Here are some Quick and Easy Dinners. They are Quick because you pull them out of the freezer (pre-made) and Easy because you made eights meals at a time.

Case Study #1: Monday and Tuesday Night Dinners for Four Weeks with Julie's FERC Meal Planning

Making ahead eight dinner entrees.

Julie bought a warehouse package of chicken breasts and another of pork chops that day, still thawed and fresh. She divided the chicken into four gallon ziplocks, and repeated that for the pork chops. She made two marinades. Two of the chicken and two of the pork received the Citrus Style Marinade, the remaining four ziplocks, the California Style Marinade.

She immediately froze seven of these bags.

Now she made the made Carbonara Sauce using 1/4 of the amount fortonight's dinner, and sealing the remaining three portions in a vacuum ball jar. With the vacuum, it would keep in the fridge for weeks.

Week 1

Monday's Menu: California Style Chicken with Alfredo Sauce

Except for shopping day where the night's meal was still unthawed, Julie would pull out one of the other ziplocks, let it thaw, and add the appropriate sauce, made from scratch or puchased. She would store the remaining sauce properly (fridge or better, a Ball vac jar).

Wednesday for all weeks, the family would pick up subways (soccer practice night)

Thursdays, they would deal with leftovers - a kind of smorgasbord.

Friday and Saturday, Julie would work from a another, similar set of 8 quick and easy dinners - but with different marinades and sauces - using fish andbeef.

Sunday for Julie's household is a potluck dinner with extended family. Julie opts for the beverages because we know that Julie knows a shortcut when she seesone.
